Review of Green Lantern (2011) by Toby B — 08 Jun 2013

This flick might have been acceptible before 1978's Superman: The Movie. But, in this day and age, there's just no excuse. The special effects are on par with one of those Sci-fi channel movies staring actors who'd had moderate success on 90s TV shows.

I'm giving it one star for the cast; Angela Bassett (turned down X-Men...but, did...this!? *side glance*), Peter Sarsgaard, Mark Strong, Tim Robbins... I hope they were all financially well compensated for their time.

I'd like to say time and energy, but the latter was lacking...much like everything else about this movie. The $2 that I'd paid to rent this from PPV was $1.75 too much. I fell asleep before it ended, but I don't feel like I've missed anything.
