American girl meets hunky french dude, resulting in Hollywoods romantic couple in a movie. Out of fish bowl romance, maybe but Green card splits gimics from orginals. Making a fascinating light, frothy, fluffy comedy about 2 people trapped in limbo with Government problem.
1 needing a green card to stay in the country legally the other to keep an apartment without being evicted resort to getting married. What was once platonic and careless turns out to be a blessing in disguise.
