Review of Greek Pete (2009) by James D — 24 Nov 2009
A great film, amazing how the viewer is made to feel like a voyeur, uncomfortable in places yet it manages to be humorous too. The way the director has merged the real, with fiction, leaves the audience confused.
Is this real? What's the point of all this? The very same questions the escort asks himself. Thus we see the escorts truth, an illusory reality where fantasy is lived out by both the client and protagonist himself.
Entertaining, yet revealing, shocking if only in the un-escapable gilmpse of a hidden yet real world.
