Review of Greater (2016) by Rivers R — 28 Aug 2016
This is a movie about the doubting Thomas in all of us. It forces the viewer to confront the unbelief living in the shadows of every human heart and examine it by the life's light of a quiet nobody from Nowhere, Arkansas. Far from a one dimensional sermonette, Greater is an unblinking look at the biggest questions asked by believers and unbelievers alike: Why am I here? Why do bad things happen to good people? Am I in this alone?
A low budget labor of love, this film should have been a memorial for the family, friends and fans of Brandon Burlsworth. But, thankfully, it became something deeper, something wider, something higher.
Something Greater.
