Review of Great Expectations (2013) by Joel G — 16 Jun 2014

Saw it last night and lovers of the theater and great literature will eat this up! The unique staging, although a bit daunting at first, was brilliant and the performances were amazing. Taylor Jay-Davies was the perfect Pip and evoked emotions not before seen in any prior actors.

I looked him up on the internet and saw soem snippets of other performances he's done and he is one of the finest young actors to come along in ages. I look forward to seeing more of him in the future.

Paula Wilcox as Miss Haversham was absolute perfection. Although the demise of said character was a bit disappointing and could have been much more dramatic in my opinion. Overall it was brilliant, amazing and I can't recommend it enough.

If it ever shows up on DVD it's going in my library!
