Review of Great Expectations (1998) by Friedl K — 27 Feb 2008
I've seen this so many times. Love Alfonso Cuaron's work, and this, although not faithful to the book, is a beautiful, personal interpretation. The score is gorgeous and stays with me for days.
Beautifully shot and stylised (all the green...) and the cast is great. Top kudos to the brilliant Chris Cooper who does his usual magic stuff with a tiny role. And the artworks in here inspire me no end.
