A nice updating of the timeless classic. Pip/Finn becomes an artist rather than a gentleman. Magwitch's first appearance is such an improbable impossibility, but having Robert DeNiro helps pull that off.
Gwyneth Paltrow is perfect for the heartless beauty, although it may not be acting.
