Whilst this sequel is nowhere near as good as the outstanding original, I enjoyed this film to an extent. Good aspects were that the actors/actresses were good, humour was still there and the entire film carried a feel-good atmosphere.

But there were bad aspects too. One was that it was a little cheesier than the first, maybe too cheesy. The majority of the songs had twenty or more people involved and this made it harder to relate to the characters than it was to relate to Danny and Sandy in the first.

The songs were also a little too feel-good in places, such as in the bowling alley or at the very beginning when the new semester starts. The T Birds did not have the same feel as the first either. In the first, there were the two leaders; Danny and Kenickie, who were the coolest of the bunch.

They were followed around, but not modelled on, by Doody, Sonny and Putzie. In other words, they were a gang but their own people at the same time. In this film however, Johnny is the cool guy and the other three follow him around trying to be just like him as if he has treats up his arsehole.

The Pink Ladies were cheesy in this one too, especially Paulette and Sharon. Delores, for me, was pretty much a "please go away" person. To be honest, the only convincing Pink Ladies were Stephanie; the rebelling popular one, and Rhonda; the looks-conscious one.

Overall, this film is pretty good but it totally lacked all the feeling that was felt in first one.
