I think the reason this movie did so badly, and most people don't like it is because of the constant comparison to the original [i]Grease[/i]. Of course, compared to the original it would come up short.
But, try to watch it not as a sequel, but just as a movie in itself, and I think most people would like it more. Granted, it does have it's cheesy moments, such as the "(Love Will) Turn Back The Hands Of Time" number, but it's a decent film.
