Review of Grease (1978) by Ben D — 24 Sep 2014
Besides the occasional catchy song or two, Grease is an unfortunate case of the music carrying the film. The only purpose they seem to serve is to add to the film's runtime and to hide the thin story and characters.
The final nail in the coffin for me was Olivia Newton-John's terrible accent consistency. Too many problems for me to enjoy.
