Review of Grease (1978) by Karen S — 14 Jul 2013

Oh man! Where do I start? I've heard about Grease ALL OF MY LIFE, heck I even have a record of punk style covers of the music so WHY haven't I watched it yet? Well it was a lot better than I anticipated that's for sure.

I guess I was scared of watching it considering SO MANY people rave about it. The whole aesthetic of the era is great to look at, even the songs that i'm not so sure of were fun to watch performed and whilst I didn't care too much for Sandy, her friend Frenchy is hilarious and I think I might be in love.

..or something. Everything about it is fun and I LOVE the cars. The story is very simple but everything surrounding it brings it together to make a memorable movie. The only REALLY annoying part I found was Danny's friends, jeez! Ditch them already! They're awful.

I feel that it definitely has a re-watchable factor too, at least, I can see why it is so revered.
