Review of Grease (1978) by Matthew R — 05 Apr 2013
"Grease" (1978) is the movie adaptation of the stage musical directed by Randal Keiser (his first feature film as director). It's funny, has great songs, and a great cast that includes John Travolta, Olivia Newton-John, Stockard Channing, Didi Conn, Jeff Conaway Eve Arden, Joan Blondell, Sid Caesar and Eddie Deezen.
Frankie Avalon has a great cameo singing Beauty School Drop-Out. Beautiful cinematography, and great choreography and catchy musical numbers that by now are very well known old favourites. The film perfectly creates the 1950s High School setting.
A classic.
