Review of Gravity (2013) by Jacob P — 31 Mar 2018
Gravity is truly amazing feat with its jaw-dropping, stunningly-realistic visual effects, production design, sound engineering and cinematography that convinces the audience that this is legitimately in space! Where the film sadly falters is its story that's essentially just the extremely unlucky main character escaping one disastrous event after another.
And speaking of the main character, how realistic is it that a person who's clearly not fully mentally stable and who's apathetic about being an astronaut end up in a job people strive to achieve one day and most never do? Overall, it is am eye-popping cinematic marvel but it's lackluster story holds back what potential it had.
