Review of Gravity (2013) by Zachary M — 24 Oct 2016
Imagery! There is plenty of neat ideas and visuals in the film, but it feels like they may have gone a bit overboard with it. The story is your typical survival movie make no mistake about it, and a big theater experience was the best way to experience it, meaning it loses a lot of power on a normal re-watch.
Still packed with cool effects, but the story seems like something we've seen done so many times before, and it reminds me of other, more grounded survival movies I could be watching.
