Review of Grass (1999) by Caleb M — 24 May 2010
An equally informative and entertaining documentary on the US government's role in criminalizing and demonizing Marijuana. Filled with hilarious vintage anti-pot propaganda as well as enlightening archival footage of lawmakers and enforcers coming up with new ways and reasons to keep Marijuana illegal.
Harrelson's narration is surprisingly sobering, leaving the film's humor to the actual events and propaganda in the film. The information presented here ranges from funny to frustrating, but all of it manages to be fascinating.
