Review of Grandma's Boy (2006) by Vuk O — 25 Nov 2012
Grandma's Boy is an example of how stoner comedies should be done, and also stands as one of the best films produced by Adam Sandler's Happy Madison Productions. Crude, vulgar, made for slackers and weed enthusiasts, Grandma's Boy deserves a high rating in its specific genre niche because it can be watched over and over again, much like How High or any of the Harold and Kumar movies.
If you are all about proving the power of your intellect and good taste, then you will apply labels like 'low-brow', 'dreadful', 'offensive', 'talentless', 'puerile' and 'unfunny'.
In that case, you can also apply the label of pseudo-educated bullshit to your own statements while immersing yourself in the sandpits of your mangina. That's right, Grandma's Boy is a glorious, laid-back, no-brainer comedy and a perfect companion to a relaxing evening with some fine cannabis.
In that respect, it hits the target perfectly.
