Review of Grandma's Boy (2006) by Michele H — 21 Dec 2012
We own it! There are many parts that are very inappropriate, but oh so Laugh Out Loud FUNNY! Absolute joy if you're looking for some comedy that's pretty mindless. When you just want to "feel kinda happy"... This is a good film for that. We have watched it at times when you just need a boost away from the pressures of the stresses of real life. Kevin Nealon is a great "new age thinking" boss, Nick Swardson is classic Nick. Love his character acting comedic style.
Doris Roberts makes a fabulous Grandma and Linda Cardellini is a delight in a break out role for her.
The mix of elderly and young interacting is fabulous. Yes, I would recommend this movie. It helps all ages to accept each other's generational differences. JP, oh my! He's hilarious in his dark ways. Dante' is truly a Dealer's dealer!
Nicely done! I'm with the 85%. The critics are looking at this all wrong! (18% - Phbllttt).
