Review of Grand Prix (1966) by Jeffrey B — 13 Jun 2007
A true cinematic experience - some breathtaking cinemaphotography with so much detail that you fall in love with the moving images.
You can happily ignore the storyline (even if Stallone's Driven did extensively pillage from this epic) and revel in Frankenheimer's ability to convey speed and gasoline on the silver screen. I saw this in HD and it was sublime.
