Review of Grand Prix (1966) by Matthew M — 12 Jul 2008
Sadly I don't think this film has aged well. The off track drama is staid and just too slow. Although the human stories are credible, and there are some touching moments, on the whole it just drags.
Never the less, for any motor racing fan, the on track action makes it all worthwhile. The cinematography is nothing special in a modern context but the racing scenes are still brilliant to watch. This is Formula 1 racing "the way it was".
