Review of Grand Hotel (2008) by Felipe P — 05 Aug 2008
This is a great film, the story is simple, yes, but it will never get old, at least it hadn't 76 years after it was shooted. This is the funniest and yet one of the mot melodramatic film placed in a lot of connected storys.
All the actor in the film are superb, including John Barrymore, Joan Crawford, Wallace Beery, legendary Greta Garbo and the funny and tender Lionel Barrymore (unfortunatly her gran grand daughter doesn't have his talent).
The story, placed in Berlin's Grand Hotel in the late 20's, is a story about human's condition: money, love, family and all about we care in our lives. It has also, one of the best cast in film history.
