Review of Gran Torino (2008) by Tiffany S — 01 Aug 2013
Eastwood is hammy as a predictably crotchety old man who unsurprisingly warms up to his young whippersnapper neighbours. For some reason this movie is well regarded despite being a remake of so many movies before it, with one twist that doesn't redeem anything except for the sappy heartstrings of the emotionally vulnerable.
