Haunted by the ghosts of his war-infested past, Walt Kowalski roams around his violent and filled with immigrants neighborhood in his stylish and old school Gran Torino. Trying to forget about the horror of Korean War, he simultaneously tries to teach a few thugs a valuable lesson about life.
Within this serious tale about racism, gang activity, and lawlessness, this film shows a fine balance between tranquility and intense action, with a moving finale and compassion somewhere in the middle.
