Review of Gran Torino (2008) by Jonas H — 19 Nov 2012
Ageing bitter Korean war veteran Walt Kowalski (Eastwood) meets his own prejudices when he's tasked with giving the neighbour's son (Vang) a private version of community service in a crime-heavy suburb of Detroit.
Coarsely ground and harsh meets timid and modest. Lots of embarrassment in the beginning; lots of love in the end.
