Review of Graffiti Bridge (1990) by Rufio C — 18 Sep 2010
Upbeat musical fantasy and sequel to "Purple Rain". I know alot of critics and moviegoers panned this movie but this is a movie for not only Prince fans like myself but fans of the film "Purple Rain" and everybody else is kinda just left scratching their heads.
Prince shows a more spiritual side of himself on the "Graffiti Bridge" album but his singing and choreography hasn't changed one bit. The Kid is back and now he owns a club of his own but the only problem is his arch rival Morris Day has a monopoly on clubs and wants the Kid's half and to send him packing once and for all.
Jerome is back for the ride as Day's right hand man as well as performers like Mavis Staples, George Clinton and Tevin Campbell.
