Review of Gracie (2007) by Robert B — 12 Sep 2007
Loosely based on Elizabeth Shue's childhood, Gracie is a young girl determined to make the boys soccer team after her older brother unexpectedly passes away.
The film is not without flaws, primarily that of a linear narrative and structure. However, the passion is there, and the film is very much watchable. Gracie is a flawed character, and the film would have benefitted from exploring her with a bit more depth, rather than focusing on soccer training montages...
