Review of Grabbers (2012) by Cody B — 13 Jan 2014

While I can't say I'm a fan of gratuitous Irish profanity, that said, it seems almost to add to the movies rough wit and charm. As I braced myself for embarrassing plot delivery and "kitchy" creatures I was instead pleasantly surprised by enjoyable performances by seasoned actors, a well paced plot and sophisticated graphics for your average, bait fishing squid alien that turns out to be creepy yet funny at the same time.

A bit more gory, "Grabbers" reminds me of the comedy/horror classic "Tremors". Although a bit unintelligible at times, it was well worth the use of closed captioning since that stomping scene will forevermore be hilariously burned into my memory!
