Review of Goya's Ghosts (2006) by Dimitry K — 04 May 2008
Well, I found the story puzzling with a lot of turnovers but I didn't like the end. Moreover, it is quite strange when you notice how each character (or actor) is shifting between different behaviors.
Bardem: strong but quiet ecclesiastical, manipulated ecclesiastical, charismatic lord, rebuked by clergy. Portman: wealthy noble, destitute prisoner, happy mendiant, she even play the role of her daughter which is completely different.
So two stars for actors habilities, one for the story but I'd like to see more focus over this character-actor screenplay.
