Review of Goya's Ghosts (2006) by Michael S — 21 Sep 2008
Too few movies are made about Napoleonic Europe (just think of all the movies set in Jane Auten's England), and even fewer about the Penninsular war. This movies seems like it's out to fix that all at once.
It takes on too much plot, and in the end, just dissolves. Still, a satisfying period piece, and you get to see sweet Natalie suffer il strappado.
