Review of Goya's Ghosts (2006) by Victoria V — 09 Oct 2008
This movie rode the Goya horse to exhaustion - and it wasn't even a great horse to start with. Far stronger performances by Portman and Bardem than by Skarsgard as Goya. The two of them have some chemistry; Goya comes off as dull, insincere and basically a convenient onlooker to the real business of the movie.
