Review of Goya's Ghosts (2006) by Scott P — 22 Jan 2009
The first half of this film is pretty good. Lots of things happen, the story builds and then... the 2nd half... Oy vey. Once the words "15 years later" appear on the screen, it's allllll over.
The story is totally derailed and the script doesn't know where to go. Natalie Portman cast as the daughter of her own mother (she plays both parts) is such a ludicrous mistake, that it's embarrassing. The normally amazing Javier Bardem was extremely annoying.
