Review of Goya's Ghosts (2006) by Wahida K — 04 Dec 2009
It takes a genious like Milos Forman to create such a great cinematic experience like this one. Goya's Ghosts, regardless of the divided critiques, is such a superb film. What an amazing and delightful experience for the senses.
The cast is so perfect here, that I dare to say that I have never seen a better Javier Bardem nor Stellan Skarsgard. Natalie Portman is so very talented and beautiful that makes this film worth it just by watching her and her two roles.
What a trip; what a journey. I am sure that the great Francisco Goya could not be happier if he could see what Mr. Forman did here. Blanca Portillo and Jose Luis Gomez are superb. I would dare to say, without caring about the critic's opinions, thst this film is simply perfect; flawless.
