Review of Gotti (2018) by Chris C — 14 Jun 2018
The critics can films just to get attention it seems. A zero? Really? Don't go to this movie thinking its going to be the next Goodfellas or Godfather, however the film is a solid fly over of the events of Gotti's life. The music production for the film had some odd choices considering this was an 80's and 90's period piece, and at one point they have Pittbull rapping in the background of a 4th of July celebration taking place in the mid 80's.
Its a gateway film that will draw interest of fans that are casual mob movie watchers that doesnt delve too deep into character development. Its rather straightforward and doesn't have any huge revelations. If you got a couple hours to spend and are burnt out on action flicks its not bad.
