Review of Gotti (2018) by Benjamin C — 24 Jun 2018
Easily the most unintentionally funny movie of the year. As a serious mob movie, this film is a mess. It's poorly edited, directed, and acted. It's nearly impossible to know what's going on as the movie time skips erratically. Kelly Preston gives the performance of a tree stump with Marie Osmond's wig. Travolta mugs for the camera non stop. All the other characters do their best impression of the cast of Jersey Shore.
However if you are like me, you can see that this is "The Room" of mob movies. It was so bad and stupid, I laughed sincerely at it. That's more than I can say for Rough Night, a movie that was allegedly a comedy. Watch at your own peril.
