Review of Gotti (2018) by Weldon B — 30 Jun 2018
The Director/editors did a TERRIBLE job of setting up scenes - at one point you hear a noise and Gotti enters a room where his wife is apparently cleaning up a mess on the bed (camera out in the hall showing only a part of the room thru the doorway) and if you didnt know the history of the mans life, you would not have known she just had a failed attempt at hanging herself and Gotti came in after whatever she had the rope tied to- snapped.
thats just one scene. TRAVOLTA IS AMAZING in this. The actor playing John Jr is a FUTURE TOP BILLED STAR. The director screwed this up. There wasnt enough time for the story. If this was a mini series for HBO - with a different director, it would have been brilliant.
Maybe Scorsese?
