Review of Gothika (2003) by Katrina F — 09 Mar 2009
This was a lot like The Forgotten. It attempts to be shocking. Unfortunately, if the viewer is interested in that sorta thing, the shocks and revelations quickly become disorganized and confused as the plot unfolds.
It tries to be The Ring while still having a "happy" ending (for a horror movie) and each of these prevents it from achieving the other in any meaningful degree.
