Review of Gothika (2003) by Dru D — 24 Sep 2009

Good thriller. Halle Berry and Robert Downey Jr were great in this movie. The story had me intrigued the whole way and I liked the creepy atmosphere, especially with the insane asylum as the setting for most of the film.

Although while I did enjoy the movie, it didn't seem to have that extra kick to it that really makes it anything special, which is why I don't rate it higher. Plus I didn't like Penelope Cruz in this movie, and the movie got a little too predictable towards the end.

But still it's definitely worth a watch, Halle Berry is hot as always while at the same time putting one of her best performances and how can you not like Robert Downey Jr in any role he's in? He's awesome! Overall a good movie.
