Review of Gothika (2003) by Charles C — 09 Aug 2012
Gothika has some good acting and some great jump scares, but the story is hardly clever. I figured out what was going on and exactly what was going to happen a little before halfway through. Attempts at concealing the answer to the mystery are cheap and hardly deceptive.
I've seen episodes of Tales from the Crypt that kept me guessing better. Even so, this is a pretty chilling movie that's enjoyable to watch.
