Review of Gosford Park (2001) by Carlos R — 29 Oct 2010

Extremely well directed, excellently performed, a superb atmosphere, and an interesting premise. I've just watched it for the second time, this time with more concentration, paying more attention to all those little details I didn't notice the first time I watched it, and now I was completely delighted with the intelligence and cinematic perfection of this film.

I've come to realise that sometimes, a second chance is really necessary to fully appreciate some film's greatness. It's a great movie, filled with fantastic details, a lot of great characters (even though some's participation was very brief), and everything helped by a marvelous screenplay.

I can't wait to see more Robert Altman's films.
