Review of Gosford Park (2001) by David I — 14 Apr 2008
So the murder the film is "supposedly" all about happens halfway through the film, true, but is the murder what the film is really about? Since the film reminds me more than fifteen times of "The Rules of the Game," my guess is it is more about the English classes, specifically the lower and upper crust.
Well-done, bewildering due to its multitiude of characters introduced within a short span of time. Acting is splendid though.
