Review of Gosford Park (2001) by Erica K — 20 Jun 2008
Brilliantly written, this film has multiple overlapping relationships reminding me of a Jane Austen novel. In simple terms, this movie feels like a well-crafted game of clue. The acting is great and I must admit that I was surprised to see Philippe in this role surrounded by European actors - he kind of stands out like a sore thumb, though I thinks it's mostly because he is the only 'unacclaimed' American.
