The reccomendation is solely for the directing and acting. Robert Altman is a god. But if you would like to see him at his best, watch "A Prairie Home Companion" (one of my all-time favorite movies) or "Nashville.
" The plot here was incredibly lacking. Infact, i'm not sure I ever knew what was going on under the shallowest of the plot's surface. Begs to be watched twice.
