Review of Gosford Park (2001) by Brittanie J — 04 May 2009
An absolute classic. Inspired by the Renoir masterpiece La Regle de Jeu (Rules of the Game), it deftly follows the lives of a host of personages both upstairs and downstairs and the mysteries of which are wrapped up in the fantastic interplay between those characters.
The writing is marvelous, and the setting is masterfully photographed. A masterful film.
