Review of Gosford Park (2001) by Wesley R — 05 Mar 2012
Julian Fellowes, the creator of Downton Abbey, wrote the screen play for this Altman film. We watched Gosford Park again mainly to compare the two. Even with the great cast that the movie has, I think Downton in the more enjoyable of the two.
I remember the dialogue of the film being difficult to understand and it still is. This is due partly to Altman's having actors talk over one another. But still.... All in all I found the movie somewhat boring.
