Review of Gosford Park (2001) by Samuel P — 25 Feb 2013
Perhaps I picked the wrong genre to watch this evening because I was not entirely impressed with this movie, honestly--despite the Best Picture nomination it got back then in 2002. The plot is quite interesting, but not executed effectively enough in my opinion.
Patrick Doyle's score, while scarcely featured in the film, is sublime and the acting of the ensemble cast of famous Brit actors and actress is amazing. Overall, the film could have been more effectively executed.
