Review of Gorillas in the Mist (1988) by Tara S — 30 May 2010
The film follows the story of Dian Fossey and her struggle to protect the mountain gorillas. Sigourney Weaver gives a great performance and shows what an underrated actress she really is. She shows that she can step away from her signature role of Ripley in the Alien films and bring other characters to life and make them her own.
The film is well acted and the cinematography allows you to feel like you really are in Africa. The interaction between actors and gorillas is also magical.
