Curiously, this is a Jackie Chan film that probably would have been better without action. The romantic story is really cute, and the semi-rivalry with Jackie's childhood friend has a lot of layers.
If the time used for the fights had developed those bits instead this would have been an astounding romantic drama-comedy.
