Is this really the movie everyone has been dying to see. Goosebumps is a broken down hybrid movie with a very confusing story that's not even interesting enough to get into, cheap and cartoony special effects that can't be taken seriously, a cast of characters where only two of them are trying to be relatable while the rest are pointless, generic, stupid, or even irritating, and juvenile humor that's not even funny the first time.
Half of the time I was rolling my eyes or sleeping throughout this movie. Don't get me wrong, I love Jack Black, but this is possibly one of his worst movies yet. If you're a Goosebumps fan like me, then stay away from this movie and stick with the book series and possibly the old TV series.
As for everyone else, if you really want to watch this movie, wait until it comes out on Netflix or the Redbox. Or better yet, DON'T WATCH THIS MOVIE AT ALL!! THIS IS NOT EVEN WORTH YOUR TIME!!! This is a failure as a movie, an embarrassment to a part of my childhood, and I will always remember the agony I felt when this movie was over!!
