Review of Goosebumps (2015) by Brodie A — 09 Jan 2016
A kid named Zach moves to a new town and had a weird neighbor who ends up being R.L. Stine. Stine has a daughter that Zach befriends and crushes on. Early on Zach opens one of Stine's books and releases the character within. The rest of the movie is about them hunting down all of the characters and trying to capture them back into their appropriate books.
I was excited when I started watching Goosebumps because I liked watching the show and reading the books growing up. I was quickly disappointed. Zach's male sidekick was supposed to be the comedic relief, but he was just a big bottle of annoying. The only redeeming factor of the movie was seeing the animated creatures.
