Review of Goosebumps (2015) by Jono M — 08 Feb 2016

I liked the way they chose to do this movie as a sort-of biopic about R.L Stine as opposed to just focusing on one of the Goosebumps novels. It allowed for more characters in the movie and gave a bit of fan service to people like myself who loved the books in the 90's.

This might seem like a stupid criticism when considering that this was a kid's movie that was literally about monsters coming to life from a book, but some of it went too far in its silliness and didn't make sense.

I also can't claim to have been a huge fan of Jack Black's over the top way of playing the main character and wish he toned it down a notch or two.
