Review of Goosebumps (2015) by Adam R — 28 Feb 2017

I got goosebumps numerous times during the movie, and despite not being a Jack Black fan, this movie suited him and accomplished the things it needed to do. First of all it made me laugh, second I was on the edge of my seat, and last I felt connected to the characters.

The reality isn't well done and takes away from the fantasy and the thrilling nature of the film. It's a little spooky but not so much so a teenager wouldn't like it. It's in no means a horror flick.

This movie is a lot like Gremlins 2. The picture develops the characters and allows for some much needed twists and turns. The visuals are really cool and this is one of the surprise films of 2015.
